Update Date and Time in Windows 8

  1. Open Control Panel and change the view to “Large Icons“.
  2. Select Date and Time > Internet Time tab > Change Settings.
    If prompted by Windows to authorize modification, select “Yes”.
  3. If not already checked, check the Synchronize with an internet time server:
    1. Network Time Foundation
    2. National Institute of Standards and Technology Internet Time Servers
  4. Available server prefixes are time1, time2, time3, and time4.
  5. Select “Update Now“.
